My strawberry plant looks really sad today. I came home from work and all the baby leaves were wilted. They looked pretty perky yesterday. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Perhaps they do not like being upside down

Sorry for being a smart-ass but I thought it was a cute response.  How much water are they exposed to?  Could be that they are drying out a bit.  My strawberries make way to many runners and if these are left to dangle in the air, they start going dark brown.  I have seen them take root and thrive in waterlogged conditions thus I'm not sure if too much water is a serious problem.  Let us see what other responses you get.

Ha Ha Ha.  some are succeptible to rhizoctonia, pythium, salts.  If you have a better picture and a pic of the roots we might be able to tell. . .
Thanks for the suggestions! The roots are very dark brown in color. I don't have a pic of it but I could probably get one tonight when I get home from work.
Also water test results could help.
