Is anyone using a "SWIRL FILTER" on their tote flood and drain systems?

I have been reading about "swirl filters" recently and wondered if any of you are using them?

I have seen homemade DIY types and they are impressive, however I have a bunch of red wigglers in my growbed which I believe serves the same purpose to eats the misc. poop particles that might feed up from the tank ... is that true?

Is there a benefit to also add a swirl filter to my system?

Anyone have any suggestions or comments on the subject?

Regards,
Bob

my system is only a week old but i built a swirl filter after learning how on u tube, i put down sotch bright under my header after the filter to catch particals and so far the sotchbright is clean so i beleve the filter is working well and it only took a short time to built, you can see my first little test system i built on u tube, just type in rich manion and it takes you right to the site, i had a question though, how do you know your nitrates are right, if your ph is good dose that mean your nitrates are good or can you test them some how, have seen that detail on u tube yet
