Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

Dear all aquaponics masters,

I know Maxicrop or Seasole (seaweed extract) is the best liquid nutrient for aquaponics crops. However, I could not access to buy those in my country and or very high tax and transporting fee to be imported if I purchase online. What can I use in stead of those liquids?

In the same case, I know the yellowish leaves of my plants come from low iron. Chelate Iron is the best solution. Are there alternative choices besides imported Chelate iron can I use?

Thanks in advance for your kind guides!

All the best,

Sokhom

There are a number of commercial "iron" supplements sold to farmers. It took some time, but I sourced iron, potassium and many additional through AG and chemical suppliers. I live in Thailand and though Thailand is quite a bit bigger as far as industry (chemical plants, etc), you should be able to source the products. Check online first, then go talk to the folks who sell to the large scale farms. You'll find it. The challenge is often finding it in small, AP sized quantities.

Good luck
