I have not tested ever day as you can see ... that will come later. Just wondering if these are typical fishless readings after dosing with ammonia? We have also sprinkled seeds in my grow bed and already, after 4 days, We am seeing growth.

Also did I read somewhere that a couple of catfish in the tank takes care of algea?

As always, any information and or comments would be greatly appreciated.

patience...

with ammonia that high, it's going to take a bit for the cycling process to start

expect it to take about 6 weeks

the only "catfish" i can think of that eat algae are really pleco's (plecostomus)

Put a cover over the tank to keep sun out and avoid algae.  Your ammonia is way high so it's time to wait.

How do I get rid of the current algae in my fish tank without harming the vegetable growth in the GB?

Will the algae eventually disapate once my system has been shaded?

I've heard that tilapia eat algae but since I can not introduce fish into my FT yet, due to the current high level of ammonia, what should I do?
