I recently have noticed an explosion of these little guys in my grow beds...

They come to the surface of the media to feast on uneaten fish food that finds its way out of the fish tank.

See attached pics...

I am guessing some kind of mite, and they don't seem to be affecting growth.

Any ideas?

Geez... they look just like termite larvae; that would suck if you were growing termites.

Those are springtails. They feed mainly on decaying organic matter and they shouldn't cause any problems.

Springtails.... Thank you.  Too small to be termite larvae.
