Growing tomatos

Good Morning everybody;

I have learned alot from you gus thank you. My question of the today, has anyone tried ti grow tomatos in a 4" PVC pipe?, would the tomato roots clog the pipe? I will be waiting for you input. Thanks

I did harvest a few tomatoes but had to clean the pipes and trim a few roots  to be able to get the water to flow through 4" pipes.

It depends how long you grow them. I've had 10' plants clog 6" PVC and the root mass was as hard as a rock.

If had to do it over again I wouldn't. It was too much trouble trying to get water to flow through. I did use a 10" pvc pipe and that seemed to work well.
