anyone have any input on whether homemade grow beds are ok vs. store bought ones?

I make mine custom fit for the area so store bought ones are not an option for me.
What type of GB are you considering?

Home-made grow beds are great as long as you build them well :) Like Lee pointed out, you can customize them to fit your needs. I have some pics of the growbeds I made out of wood on my profile page; you're welcome to check it out if you like.
