What is the property of my water that stings my hands when I change the filters on the GB pumps?

I checked the ammonia day before yesterday and it was .25ppm on the API Test kit. I have no sores

on my hands. It has been noticeable for some time!!! Any one that is on top of it I would appreciate

your input on it.  Thanks ion advance for your reply.
