Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

Hi all,
So I just received my first fish fingerlings for my aquaponic system. I also ordered fingerling feed crumble for them. I got flaming tilapia.
The problem I have is my fish came ,but my feed did not. What is suitable to feed them when so small 1.5" - .5".
Thanks,
M m,mGerry

If you can get to the store, get a container of flake food.  There are flake foods with like 46% protein which would be fine for the babies.

If you can't get to the store right away, boil up an egg and the you can crumble some of the egg yolk into the water for them to eat.

Thanks TCLynx,
At the store today .was not sure if tropical fish flakes were food safe which rose to my posting.Total newbie here and would rather ask than regret.
I did pick up some shrimp pellets for shrimp and catfish which I presume is food safe but I think they might be a bit too big for them. There meant to soften in water to make it easier for them. Also got confirmation my fingerling crumble will arrive by wed.next week.
Thanks again ,
Gerry
