Filtering solids

This is probably an easy one for someone to field. Should I be using a filter on my pump to filter solids from the water in the fish tank or just let the pump shoot the solids down into the growbeds?

I have kind of a weird setup, I pump water from out of the fishtank to the growbeds then pump it back into the fishtank from a sumptank. The pumps I use have mesh filters inside the house but I could take them out.

you will probably find you need to take the sponge filters out as they will clog quickly.

You want the solids to go to your grow beds.
