The filter in my fish bed pump clogs and has to be removed and cleaned pretty often. Wondering if theres anything wrong with removing it and let the pump move the fish waste up to the grow beds and let the gravel and the worms, etc. do the work.

In AP the waste must be allowed go to the media beds, there the worms/bacteria converts it to plant food.

I used to have the same problem.  I removed the filter and have never looked back.

Get some worms in your system.  That will help.

ALWAYS remove the sponge filter in the water pump.
