Hi Peter...assuming you have enough nutrients, light, and pre-filtering of solids (and good temps) you can probably plant 2 toms per 20 liter bucket. I've only done that in square buckets planting each tom in opposite corners and using support strings in a "V" cordon style.
You could also try one tom plant per bucket and prune to two fruiting branches...again, leading them on "V" shaped support stings.
Both of the above methods should garner similar results.
If this is your first time...you might want to try all 3 methods (1 plant per, 2 plants per, and one plant pruned to 2 main producing vines)...or stick to the easiest method, which would be one plant per bucket pruned to one producing vine...
Hi Vlad
Thanks for the response.
I have a pond with 30 koi and goldfish, 2 filters, (1 bio filter and 1 swirl filter) Temperatures are still around 30 degrees CELCIUS, I live in south spain. Nights not below 20 yet. Will add 50 tilapias next week in IBC´s so I think nutrition will be ok. PH is running at 6.0 with cristal clear water in the pond. Better than before i had the aquaponics.
I want to produce as much tomatoes from the buckets as posible, and yes this is new for me and loving it.
