I'm adding 25 fingerlings into my tank this week and I put a 5 gallon floating bucket with many holes in the 300 gallon tank to keep them separate from the bigger fish. I currently have two aerators running in the fish tank (an IBC). Will the fingerlings get enough O2 from the tank or should I put a separate aerator in the five gallon bucket?

You'd be better off with a small pump moving water into that floating bucket, but an aerator would be a good start.

I did a nearly identical setup, and don't have a separate aerator or pump going into the fingerling bucket. They seem fine. Just make sure you have enough holes in the bucket.

Thanks. I added a bunch more.
