CHOP and CHOP 2

I've tried CHOP 2 and I don't think is helping to balance my system. 

I cannot do the gravitate CHOP  I got to additional a water pump for the fist tank.  So my question is should it be an external or internal to pump to the GB.

Are you using a sump tank with one pump? Pumping to the grow beds and part of the water going to the fish tank.

We are one pump in the sump and it is a 1000 GPH. The fist tank is 240 Gal IBC and 7 GB half barrels.
