bought 4 of these to make my first aquaponics system, one already died after less than a week.
My bad I guess, I assume bildge pumps were not meant for continuous use. Although they advertise them as pond and fountain pumps.
Also to note, don't take it apart when the motor is on or the spinning part will slice upen your finger.
Ended up ordering some discount pumps at www.pondliner.com, hoping those will work better as they are name brand.
I want to have 2 pumps running at a time, each of which is at my tank's capacity or more (200 gal), so if one fails and I am away, the fish will not die. Also want a backup one to interchange in the event one fails.
Pumps I ordered are:
Oase Neptun 370
Oase Aquarious 325
Aquarious 1200
