Is there any data on which fish is the best feed converter, or they all about the same, and is

 this a minor issue?

theres lots of data on fcr (food conversion ratios)

lots of variables, including ph, temp, feed, etc

it's more a matter of your environment and fish that can handle it, at least with backyard type systems

ohio state had lots of studies on yellow perch and bluegill.. i think a college in minn had a bunch of trout studies..

regional aquaculture centers are a good source of info as well
