I have a 275 gal tote with two 6x4x7 grow beds .And have been flooding my beds continuous since start up.
My qestion is will bacteria grow faster if I flood my beds continuous or if i flood for say fifteen minutes
twice an hour ?
Does it even matter ?

There have been some trials done over at BYAP where they ran three side by side systems. One was a siphon system one was a continuous flood and one was a timed flood and drain.
The continuous flood system seemed to cycle up faster.
Flood and drain seems better for some plants.
But does it really matter, only minimally.
