We got babies in our IBC tank and in our big pond. Now the question do u leave them in the pool with big ones or catch them and put them in grow out tanks..........was so cool....Our first babies in our tilapia

If you want only some (probably even none) of them to survive, then you can leave them with the big ones.
If you want a bit more to survive, take them out and separate them according to size, because those bigger than 1.5cm will eat those smaller than 1cm. (note: This cannibalism can be a good thing if you want to cull them)

Idid seperate majority of them and yes some did survive in both the ibc tanks and the big ponds. Once they start they will keep going i have lots of babies now. it is exciting yes and now is so fun watching them grow. hope that helps

WE got 62 little Tilapia frys in Feb. & are wondering when they will start having babies??
about how big are they. They should actually start soon. What is your male to female ratio and what are they in
