I've been trying to design an aquaponics pump that runs without electricity and I came up with this design. I nearly had it working until I broke one of the gears. In the next prototype I will use an old bicycle like everyone else uses.
What do you think? Do you think this will work?

Hi R.K.,
So i really really like this! Please post when you get it in action asap!
it looks like you're attempting to violate the laws of the universe--unless there is some energy input that I'm not seeing.
No hamsters on wheels, or maybe catfish that are yoked in the fish tank and made to swim in circles, thus driving the pump shaft?
The water wheel turns the pump shaft
I wish...
Hi, if you would simplify this pump, you have to ask for some help to Archimede.
In my opinion it would be better if you use a screw pump, instead of a water wheel.
That's hilarious... I give you credit for being able to narrate the video without cracking up!
You were almost as good as this guy: http://youtu.be/sZwn6vn6hHY
Waaahahahaaa. Good one David "..a transmission that would not only supply inverse reactive current for use in uni-lateral phase detractors..."...everyone knows that the Russians have already worked that out for half the price...
R.K, should you run into any problems, see if these folks can give a you hand in working out the kinks...
Keep on truckin' brother...
