Hello,
I am new to this forum and would like to know if there are any other aquapons with a system in France or even Europe. Next spring I am planning on putting together a system and it would be very helpful to know where to look for supplies, fish and such. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very greatful!
I just built 20 square meter greenhouse that I would like to use for this purpose and since it is far from any electrical outlets I'll have to install a photovoltaic system to power my pumps. A friend of mine can sell me a 250Watt panel for a great price so I am hoping to find a dc pump that will be powerful enough to run my system.
I will be building a system follow Murray Hallum's design with three 1,000 Litre containers.
I am also looking for anyone else in europe who may have some black soldier fly larvea for sale. It would be great to get that going as quickly as possible.
It would be nice to be in contact with anyone in europe who is interested in starting or has already begun an aquaponic system.
All the best,
Matthew

As far as I know, Europe has had a slightly snobish attatude towards AP. I am sure there are some but it just dosn't seems as poppular as it is in Australia or the States.A different mindset i guess. I'm sure they'll get along soon enough. All good things spread pretty quickly.
Good hunting and cheers
I have started an Aquaponics Europe group on facebook. Please join.
Carey i don't agree that its snobbish... i really believe they just dont know about it...

Hi guys, I'm 50 km south of Vienna and building a pit greenhouse right now for aquaponics.....see http://www.gesundheitsverein.at/
Could not find any system in Austria which is operating in winter, will see how it goes with my "research center"
Interested in Zip Grow Towers ? http://www.gesundheitsverein.at/Aquaponik-in-Europa.html
or Tilapia for your system ?
Please e-mail direct to gesundheitsverein@gmail.com
Hi Freddy,
I changed the web site domain so now you can find it here: http://www.greenandblue.eu/
I have goldfishes and to koi carps. I've been looking for normal carps but it's not so easy to find where I live.
Cheers

Hi Giulio!
Tried to have a look at your wes-site but would not come up, both Safari and Google cant find it?
i am also setting up a small system with 2 - 1000 L IBC containers on my terrace 2,5 x 3 m cowered with two grow beds and fish tank and sub tank.
What kind of fish are you going to use, and where are you going to bye them?
It is hard to find all the stuff here in Spain, and the customer are going crazy with the import tax, need to find it here in Europe.
What are you doing?
Have a nice day on you new AC systems

Hi Friends in Europe,
It has been over 50 years since I last visited Europe as a member of the military.
I couldn't help get excited for all of You in Your adventure of a new growing technique. I do want to recommend a family in Hawaii who have been running a very successful commercial aquaponic operation for over 5 years; Friendly Aquaponics, inc. http://www.friendlyaquaponics.com/ They are a great source of all the information you will need to begin Your operation. I find them to very open and free with their information.
They have a new book for sale for $30 USD, that would be a great addition to Your library.
My Wish for You,,, A Fantastic Day!! Paul Smith
Hi. I found this thread and although it is from last year thought I would post something to see if there is anyone about still in France.
I would also be interesting in hearing from anyone in Ireland because there is also a possibility that I may do something there.
In any case, hello to you all.
