Anyone Trying Hyper-Saline Plants?

Just curious if there is anyone out there that has a Hyper-Saline (high salt) AP system?  I saw that there was a researcher at UC Davis that was hybridizing vegetables that have higher salt tolerance, sent an email and had no response back.
