I started our system and slowly plants are taking off and the fish seem to be doing quite well. I just seemed to notice that algae is beginning to grow on the hydroton pebbles and in the tubes feeding the grow bed. Is this normal? It is in a greenhouse and a fan runs right above it. We live in wyoming where it is dry and the daytime temps are in the high 80's lower 90's. the ph level is at 7.5

Yeah, anywhere there is water and light, algae likes to hang out. It's fine as long as it doesn't get out of hand. A little algae on your growbed input and where the water splashes on the hydroton is pretty typical.

Thanks, that relieves a little worry. What would you describe as to be out of hand?
