I want to quantify the electrical power requirements of aquiculture. Between pumping and air, there is a considerable energy cost. Does anyone know what the required KWH/ :area of growbed, pounds of fish etc.?

Thanks, Josh

Hi all
I am new to AP ,and have not yet started a system.I have a couple of questions first.
My most important concern is heating system in winter months as to cost and how many and or what wattage heaters.

I plan to put a 150 gallon fish tank in my unheated garage with at first only 100 gallons of water and two grow beds.I also plan to use a sump tank of about 55 gallons.I would also use that white insulating board all around fish tank and sump tank.My garage in winter avg.temp has been 50…

Russell Humez What equipment is required for a commercial raft system?tag:aquaponicgardening.ning.com,2011-07-28:4778851:Topic:1649362011-07-28T07:00:37.199ZTom Moylehttps://aquaponicgardening.ning.com/profile/TomMoyle

Hi, I am doing a bit of research into aquaponics for my university degree and am trying to determine the economic viability of a commercial raft system. What would I need to buy (numbers/size) for a medium-sized operation? Also, what are the typical running costs of this type of system?

Fish (type & average growout time)

Fish tanks (number - size)

Sump (size)

Pumps (number - size)

Growbeds (number - length & approx product output)

Piping…
