Event Description

The Aquaponic Farming Course prepares students to manage and operate an aquaponic farming business. This is an advanced, four-day course. It is strongly recommended course attendees have a solid understanding of basic aquaponic principles: techniques and practices, system types, the nitrification cycle and entry-level aquaponic terminology. Students are encouraged to attend an aquaponics basics class prior to enrolling in the course.

SPECIAL GUEST PRESENTATIONS:

Quality Certification Services (QCS)

The industry is abuzz with the news—after 25 years of certification expertise, QCS just launched an Aquaponics Certification Program to address Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and aquaponic operation food safety issues. In this special presentation of The Aquaponic Farming Course, students learn specifics of the QCS Aquaponics Program, as well as how the new aquaponics certification differs from other organic and food safety programs offered by the organization. For more information on QCS, visit http://www.qcsinfo.org
