Green Acre’s Farm to Fork Dinner Event – Helping the Hungry in Hernando
Green Acre Aquaponics and the Pearl in the Grove has teamed up for Green Acre’s first ever Farm to Fork event.
Join us Sunday May 5th and dine outside amid fragrant orange blossoms and enjoy Chef Curtis Beebe’s hand made, slow food, tasty Tilapia creation for a great cause. Also, each dinner guest receives a beautiful T shirt commemorating this event.
Deciding to make our sustainable aquaponics farm even more sustainable, Green Acre is shifting to cultivating mostly Koi instead of Tilapia. In doing so, we thought it was fitting that they become the “Guest of Honor” as we donate our Tilapia for our first ever Farm to Fork event. Proceeds from this great event will go to benefit the group Hungry in Hernando which is dedicated to helping to feed the 25,000 plus hungry living in Hernando county through sustainable farming and gardening practices.
