Event Description

Want to build your own system, but don’t know where to start? 
 Colorado Aquaponics is holding a new workshop at GrowHaus introducing participants to the key principles of growing fish and plants together in a recirculating soil-less system. The course will include discussions about:
  • Benefits of aquaponics
  • Fish and Plant Selection
  • Bacteria and Nitrification Cycle
  • System Ratios and Startup Procedures
  • Different system designs: flood and drain, deep water culture, and vertical 
  • Growbed styles, media, pumps, aerators, plumbing fittings and more. 
This workshop will be held at The GrowHaus, a living classroom environmentnon-profit urban farm and marketplace in the Elyria-Swansea neighborhood. Hands on opportunities will including system assembly with various components, water testing, and system maintenance activities. 
Cost is $75/pp cash, check, paypal or credit card
