Nance, The one thing I need to impress on you is this..... Don't make it over complicated.

This site can driva a newbee crazy.  pick a fish tank of some type, pick a grow bed of some type, pick a media of some type, plumb them together in whatever fashion you need to move the water from one to another, put your water in, wait 2 weeks, dump some cheap gold fish in, wait, wait, wait wait when it cycles put some seeds in and start.
