This is the first time I've ever set a concrete block...but I did play with Lego's a lot when I was young.  ;-)  I did a bit of research to see how the pro's lay blocks which helped a lot!

Rob, were you a mason in a previous life?  Where are all these construction skills coming from?  I'm always interested to see what you're working on because it is invariably bad-ass.

I can't wait either!  Still a lot of work to do in the floor:  Make the sump wells for the tanks, backfill part of it, install the geothermal, install the drain lines, and build the mass rocket heater.  Somewhere in all this I can start to put the dome up.  :-)

I'm still debating it....just an added expense.  I did backfill against the garage door area and everything held together.  Then I filled in the inner area and made a ramp so I can drive down into there.

Awesome job! Looks great. I think I would still fill the walls, although all the angles really strengthens the overall structure.
