My 2.5 gallon AquaPonics setup. In it are 2 platies and 2 marbled crayfish. It is run with only an air pump.

If you don't have far to lift the water an airlift is a great way to move water. Low power consumption plus it aerates the water. Think of it like those old school corner filter. The air creates a current that lifts the water.

Hey Chi,

I have been looking at many of your posts and videos. I appreciate you sharing your experience.  I am just getting into AP but I am a long time fish keeper.  I am looking at my 30 gal. tank in my office right now.  I have been trying to figure out a way to incorporate a small grow bed (a pot or two) with the tank I have.  I noticed you are running this one with air alone.  How does that work?  I haven't seen that set-up before.
