Just found your videos Rupert. I'm impressed! I'm glad we have you here helping us out.

Hi Gill,

Yeah I had a big breeding pair... you can see the male in a couple of photos... but lost both the male and female within the same week... when we got hit with a couple of 40+c days early in November... about the time they would have bred...

Currently only have a bunch of small stock...

Frankly... I haven't had great success with yabbies... although they have provided more than ample vegetable growth in the little blue barrel system for over three years...

Hey Rupert,
Are you breeding the yabbies and if so, what kind of breeding stock do you use?

Two of the barrels are completely filled with Hydroton Rick... the other two are about half filled with blue metal gravel in the bottom, with the clay balls on top

Sorry, I didn't catch what you said in the video, what material is under the clay pebbles?

Great stuff Rupert! Great system pic.s too. Cool to see you're doing rainbows- I've just gotten my tilapia pop. up to where I can start doing some serious stocking densities, but i'd like to try trout some time in the next year or two. are you using them in your pure aquaculture sys. or in an aquapon. sys.?
