What is the size of the system you are trying to set-up? I would recommend building only about a 4th of what you think you will have eventually if trying to feed lots of people. Start with a small version of your large system, then if it works well for the first harvest you can build the rest just like that (or make small changes which is likely to happen). I assume water is of high value, and so the changes might occur where there is evaporation in your system (trying to minimize the amount of water you need to replace). Let me know if you have any questions! I do not have much time but would be glad to give a little advice!
