I am keen to become involved in the commercial farming aspect and help rejuvenate communities and the food cycle through the opportunity aquaponics holds both in the higher organic nutritional value of the food as well as the green impact on our environment. This is still very new in South Africa and I feel the opportunity is ripe to bring this farming technique more mainstream by relooking at old abandoned warehouses and to create city farms where derelict conditions are rife.
