Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

FYI: Stick-Fins Farm in Florida is going out of business before too long. The original owner, Michael Robinson, has passed away and the farm is in the process of being sold. Things may change. The website is http://http://farmingcrawfish.com/. They don't accept any credit, but will accept check and money order. Email ahead of time to buy so you will get an exact quote on the charges. Right now juveniles redclaw is $3.50 each for a max amount of 35 per box. They also sell the walkamin strain of the redclaw juvenile for $5.50 each (prices may have changed by now). Walkamins are supposed to grow bigger faster and more uniform in size. Miami Aqua-culture is the other seller, but they are really pricey; the redclaw starts selling at M.A. for $6.00 each.

Too bad they are closing. I bought my red claws from Mike three years ago, and still have them, happily breeding and growing. Mmmmm.

There will be new management, but I don't know how that'll play out.

Just so you know, Michael may be gone but Stick-Fins is not going out of business. Yes, I do have the farm up for sale but I have every intention of finding someone to take it over that has the passion and dedication to expand the business and take it forward in a big way!

I'm sorry Christine if I gave bogus information due to my misunderstanding.

FYI They are reopening  in March 2015
